Director, Digital Sales
Are you passionate about driving digital revenue streams and strengthen the digital footprint of our business? Have you been designing platform business models and developed digital ecosystems? Then you must be our new Digital Sales Director! We’re a global leader within video management software and to help realize our steep ambitions, we want to grow our digital sales channels and communities.
Digital Sales is a relatively new department in Milestone System that we have high ambitions for. As Director, Digital Sales, your responsibility is to maximize leads and revenue on current digital platforms and set the digital sales strategy of our company. You will be working closely with our other sales channels creating foot flow for them as well as driving revenue directly through our digital channels.
You will lead a team of 9 specialized digital profiles including two team leads, that are responsible for all business that runs through our digital channels. To achieve this your department drives digital partner engagement, optimizes existing digital sales platforms and channels, and develops new digital ways of selling. In addition to your own team, people from other parts of Milestone as well as external vendors are working dedicated with you to help meet our digital ambitions.
As Milestone’s Digital Sales Director, we expect you to achieve the following goals:
- Establish Milestone Marketplace as the preferred business platform connecting buyers and sellers in the Milestone Community, thus driving our open value proposition.
- Achieve digital sales targets:
- Achieve a direct revenue target through paid membership plans on Marketplace.
- Achieve an indirect revenue target by driving leads to partners on Marketplace resulting in higher, derived sales of our XProtect video management software sold through other channels.
- Increase the percentage of orders fulfilled as self-service through Milestone Store, the webshop that our distributors use to place orders for Milestone products.
- Onboard partners to our digital platforms and engage partners already onboarded providing maximal value to them.
- Over time growth the revenue generated through digital channels significantly to level with our other sales channels.
Your areas of responsibility – that you will deliver upon with your team – include:
- Operate and optimize existing digital platforms and digital sales channels.
- Own Milestone’s digital sales strategy and contribute to corporate strategy development initiatives by adding digital sales aspects and platform business knowledge where relevant.
- Be the resident expert in all Milestone digital offerings.
- Develop new digital sales channels, low touch sales flows and further add layers to Milestone Marketplace.
- Build strong relationships across Milestone.
- People manage and develop the digital sales team.
To succeed in this key position, we expect your profile to include these characteristics:
- 7+ years of experience in digital sales, preferably in an international B2B organization and with some background in IT/tech.
- P&L responsibility with a proven track record of delivering strong sales growth through digital channels while consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- A strategic mindset with a keen understanding of digital platform business models
- Demonstrated ability to manage sales operations, processes, and KPIs.
- Experienced people manager with a track record of developing people and creating a fun, safe, and rewarding work environment.
- Passionate, driven, persistent, and robust.
You will be reporting to Vice President of Global Sales Operations Kirsten Højland and be part of the Global Sales Operation’s leadership team. Global Sales Operations in Milestone has a broad responsibility, covering both traditional sales operations, driving corporate business development and at the same time maturing new business models and routes to market. Digital Sales belongs to the latter and it is set up as a greenhouse environment, operating with a high degree of independence.
