Who We Are
Abel is a creative agency which has specialized in making business, creativity and sustainability meet. Our approach is entrepreneurial, meaning we would rather adapt our approach and do the right thing than be a big and rigid ‘machine’. Abel was founded in 2015 and since then we have helped both bold startups and international corporations future-proof their businesses by defining a role for them in a world of climate- and biodiversity crises. We define, design and activate their brands – Bringing it to life with resonating stories is just as important as putting it on paper. On top of that we have created and promoted our own grassroot campaigns, ran a podcast for two years and designed a lamp as part of Abel Originals.

Being a Creative Strategist at Abel
In short, you will be solving problems with creativity and imagination.

Unfolding that, you will be an advisor for our clients by developing both strategic and creative solutions, while driving selected projects forward.

That means scoping and planning the project in a way that enables us to deliver the right solution. You lead the qualitative and quantitative research on elements such as the clients’ business, the culture, customers, competitors, media landscape and environmental threats/opportunities, distilling that into insights and customer journeys. Based on that you formulate brand and communications strategies. You are also the one writing the creative brief and throughout the project you help guide the creatives in their work towards answering the creative brief and thereby solve our client’s problem.

You will have your own clients, for whom you are the main point of contact. A part of your job will also be winning new clients by pitching solid ideas. In regards to all tasks, sparring with the team is always encouraged. We are in this together.

Qualifications
Basic:
– You are able to speak and write Danish.
– Minimum two years of experience with communication or strategy in an agency.

Preferred:
– Experience working in a creative agency and with creative teams.
– Experience with project management.
– Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively.
– Experience with facilitating workshops.

Abel as a work place
The team: We are a small team of 7 ambitious people who always want to deliver at top level and help engage more people and businesses in the climate- and biodiversity crises.

Hybrid work: Our processes are optimized for a mix of working at home office and “heardquarter”. We prefer people spending a minimum of two days in the office.

Activism: Every year, we dedicate 150 hours across the agency to political activism, this year’s thing being a food waste campaign, we have created together with other activists: https://www.modspild.dk/

Built to last: We are trying to create a workplace, where both people and the business thrive in the long run. We are not a stepping stone. Therefore, we are working towards a 30-hour-week. And that’s also why we have a Partner Program.

The little things: We have a monthly social event, paid lunch, pension and health insurance.

What we believe
It is a fact that the technologies which are needed to solve the climate- and biodiversity crisis are available and well known. Though we know that you cannot save the world, we do believe that it cannot be saved without you and with that in mind we see it as our duty to help more people and companies act on sustainable opportunities by giving them new perspectives.
